Aidens Christmas List.

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8

These are the main items on Aidens Christmas list, although I have linked them to Toys 'r' us. I will be shopping around and finding the best deals in other stores too. He is a massive Toy Story fan at the moment, he has had the little versions of Buzz and Woody for around 6 months and they are on their last legs (literally! Buzz is missing a leg and Woody is missing an arm..) He also loves Scooby doo, Peppa pig and Ben and Holly.

We will also be doing the christmas book advent calender, I will make a blog post about this in the upcoming weeks including the books and links.

I'm so excited for this Christmas, I feel like its the first Christmas he will actually be excited and be able to leave milk and mince pies for Santa, and a juicy carrot for Rudolph.
Not to mention that Christmas is my favourite season of all, so we will be going all out. My partner Ryan's whole family will be coming over to our house Christmas to celebrate and have a few drinkies :)

My upcoming blogs of OCTOBER.

Baking with baby.
Grocery haul.
Christmas wishlist.

Aidens christmas list.
Fun ideas with toddlers.
Booking a holiday.

Busy few days :)

We've had a busy week so I haven't been able to blog much. :(
Quick random blog post :)
Aiden and his cousin Olivia are so close, it is amazing.
When I lived in Nottingham a year ago, Aiden would come down to visit family for around a week every 3 months. However they weren't used to each other, they used to argue constantly, fight and not share toys- to the point that Aiden was afraid of his little cousin!

But fast-forward a year down the line, they are the best of friends.
They see each other most days and they both make me so proud everyday.
Aiden & Olivia will often sing songs together and have a proper conversation. Don't get me wrong, of course sometimes they may argue, not share or push each other. But this time, its like they are completely different children, who always greet each other with a hug and kisses.

So today, Aiden, Olivia, My sister-in-law, Partner and I went to soft play because it was hammering down with rain.
Aiden & Olivia ran around holding hands, picked each other up when they fell over but had a few funny arguments.
My partner loved it more than the kids, he dived straight into the ball pit and got his bum stuck while sliding down the slide.(haha!)

Quote of the day-
Olivia: *crying*
Aiden: Aww come on now Weeia don't you start; be a big girl now :)

When you came into the world..

After a long nine months of waiting to meet you, your due date was the 28th of April.
28th of April was your late great-nain's birthday, so we were very excited and very naive as we thought you'd actually arrive on that day!
However, you must have been far too comfy inside mammys' belly to come and meet us.

(mammy 22wks pregnant)

Along came May the 10th- me, daddy & nain took the drive to the hospital ready to be induced.
The whole family was so excited to meet you, we finally had a day you'd be arriving.
It definitely didn't sink in to Mammy & Daddy that it would be a few days until we'd be parents.

I was then induced, and oh my gosh- you really didn't want to leave!
Mummy, Daddy, Nain & Nanny were all in the labour room waiting for you to arrive.

After a long 48 hours, a few hundred naughty words, a few hours sleep, and a lot of giggles from the gas and air;
In true Thomas' style- You arrived on Mammys 17th birthday! at 9:13 am, weighing 9lb 2oz.

We were all extremely proud and I thought daddy was about to burst with joy, he cried so much he could have left puddles on the floor!
I was the first to hold you, and I didn't realise I could experience a love so strong with someone I had only just met.

Mammys' valuable bonding time with you fell short, as I didn't feel very well so I had to pass you to Daddy and took the photo above.
Unfortunately, mammy fell really ill and missed the whole first day of your life.

(one of the first pictures of you!)

The next day, when I was well enough to see you- we stayed together in the high dependency unit. The unit was a small very quiet room, this gave Mammy and Daddy time to bond with you.

You were a really big baby, you nearly filled the plastic cot you slept in in the hospital.

We were amazed how strong you were for a newborn baby, you were trying to lift your head straight away!
While we were both in hospital- we had a few visitors; which included-
Nain, Nanny, Bampy, Auntie Claire, Auntie Rachel, Uncle Craig, and quite alot of others..

Everyone was just too excited to meet you!

After 5 long days, we got to go home!
That's when the amazing life as your Mammy truly started..

First post.

So, Aiden.
You may be reading this when you're older, I've decided to start blogging so I can remember each fun day we have together. My memory isn't what it used to be, (and yes I'm only 20 years old)

It seems like you're growing up way too fast, and I can't keep up.
So here- I will put in as many pictures as I can, as many memories and as many funny things you say!(which is a lot :P)

As I'm writing this, you're cuddled up in bed.. Daddy's playing on his playstation..

Surprise Surprise!
You're three years old going on thirteen! Such a cheeky monkey with an attitude to match.

You make me so proud every single day, and make me grin from ear to ear from the second I hear you calling me each morning.

I must go now, its midnight and I should get some sleep before the 7:30 am wake up call!
I love you so so so much.

Mammy Jones.
(No, you don't have any other mummys- that's just what you started calling me around a year ago and it must have stuck!)
